Thankful Thursday - Love Sparkles (Literally!)

Hello Again My Friends

Time for an installment of Thankful Thursday because it's Thursday.  And I am Thankful.  (Let's be honest - I am thankful every day of the week but that's another story...)

Ok then -  I stamped the Thank You sentiment from the oh-so-fun Love Sparkles set using versamark ink, then applied gold embossing powder and heat-set it.

Then I cut the Daisy (ish) tag from gold foil using the Timeless Tags thinlits and adhered this to the Wisteria Wonder card.

Two strips of the FREE Sale-A-Bration metallic gold ribbon were adhered close to one edge, with a strip of gold sequins placed between them.  A piece of a medallion (made by layering one of the vanilla Lace Doilies between a large and small metallic gold foil doily) was slipped beneath this ribbon/sequin edging, and the card front was complete.

Layer this card front onto a thin mat of vanilla, then onto a Wisteria card and voila - a gorgeous Thank You card.

So Very Much and Delicate Details

Hi Friends - glad you came back for another visit.

I love all of the Sale-A-Bration stamp sets that are available right now.  Here's a quick card using one.

1)  I used versamark ink to stamp the So Very Much image onto the top portion of a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock, then stamped the Delicate Details lace images across the bottom of the same piece.

2)  I sprinkled white embossing powder onto the images, then heated to set the powder.

3) Use a sponge dauber to discreetly add crumb cake ink to selected portions of the embossed lace images and sponge around the entire piece, then mount this to a Crumb Cake card.

And there you go.  As easy as 1, 2, 3 done.

Do you want to reproduce this quick and beautiful card?  Place your orders online by visiting HERE (at check out, please use the hostess code VP7YFXQ9) or contact me to place your order for you.

And if you want a LOT of stuff (why wouldn't you?), you can save a TON of money - up to $200 - by making your purchase into a fully customizeable Starter Kit purchase.  See the details HERE or contact me to ask how we can save you lots of money while getting you everything you want.

Hope you enjoyed this quick and easy Thank You card.    Enjoy the rest of your day and God Bless,      Cynthia   <><

A Little Black Magic For the Thailand Achiever's Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop

Hello my Friends.

Welcome to our Sale-A-Bration Thailand Achiever's blog hop.
(You may be starting at my blog - Cynthia Millan - or maybe you've already been hopping around?  Whichever is the case, make certain you check the list at the bottom and visit everyone's blog.  You don't want to miss any of the great projects!)

Today there are 3 NEW, FANTASTIC Sale-A-Bration products that you could choose if you place a qualifying order and we wanted to highlight those.  Alas - mine haven't arrived yet.  My order is due to arrive 2 days from now.    :(   So I am going to show you the still-available Avant Garden Sale-A-Bration set because if you don't have it yet, you definitely WANT TO!

Have you ever wanted the contrast of a gorgeous, vibrant image on a background of black?  But exactly how do you get a coloured image stamped onto black, right?  Ta da - you use the Black Magic technique. That's how I got this Avant Garden flower image coloured on this black cardstock.

I was SO HAPPY when Stampin' Up! brought back their Watercolor Pencils so that I could use this technique again.  Just stamp your image on Basic Black Cardstock using Craft White Ink, and let it dry (or use a heat gun to dry it more quickly).  Then you can use your watercolor pencils to colour on top of the white image.

The white Avant garden flower image is pretty striking all by itself and would make a lovely card.  But I love being able to colour the image to be whatever I want it to be.

You can see I tried a card using Melon Mambo, Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight watercolor pencils and a second with Pacific Point plus a touch of Bermuda Bay (with Old Olive stems).

The Watercolor Pencils are great for the Black Magic technique AND for using as regular pencils (or specifically as watercolor pencils when you add water and intentionally allow the colours to bleed into each other like THIS POST).  They are so great that they keep selling out.  Seriously my friends - if you want these fantastic pencils you should order them NOW!

{Did you also notice the white oval piece behind the main image that used the stitched oval framelits?  Love the effect of that delicate detailing around the outer edges of the cardstock!}

I cannot wait to get my hands on the new Sale-A-Bration products that are available today!  The Make A Medallion set would take a while to colour but man oh man would it ever be a stunning Black Magic piece!!

If you live anywhere in Canada, I would love to help you get your hands on any Stampin' Up! goodies that you want to order,  especially the fabulous SAB products that are available until March 31.  Contact me HERE and I will be happy to place your orders for you or you can place your own order online HERE.  If your order is less than $200, please use the hostess code VP7YFXQ9 when you check out

Better yet - if you want LOTS of fabulous products, you should consider getting a Starter Kit and saving TONS of money!  Literally hundreds of dollars!  Check out the details HERE.  I would so love to have you on my Team -. The Canadian Sunshine Stampers.

Hope you like my cards and are enjoying the rest of the Blog hop too.  All the other terrific products are done by the spectacular group of stampers listed at the bottom of this post.  Check them out.  I know I am going to!

Thanks for stopping by.
Have an absolutely fantastic rest-of-your-week.
God Bless you all,    ~Cynthia   <><

Celebrations Duo - Happy Happy Days!

Hello Friends

A short post, to showcase the other embossing folder that comes with the Celebrations Duo set.

I used Island Indigo, Elegant Eggplant and Pool Party ink and randomly stamped the leaves from Sheltering Tree to reveal the debossed word.  Then some Indigo and Eggplant dragonflies (LOVE the Dragonfly Dreams thinlits!

The "happy" word was revelaed by the stamping.  And yes - the resulting card makes me happy indeed.

Rhinestone jewels for bling.  And my work here is done!

Celebrations Duo - Emboss Your Way to an Easy-Peasy Card

Hi Friends

Did you notice the new pair of Embossing Folders in the Occasions catalogue?  They are called the Celebrations Duo folders and they are super easy to use.

What is more, using them is almost like working with a "secret message"....like when we were kids.  Remember?

They are designed to make a deep impression in the cardstock but honestly, when you first emboss, although you can make out the word, the effect is a little underwhelming, if you know what I mean?!
Debossed word "Celebrate" on White cardstock, before being stamped on
However....when you stamp over the debossed word, the "message" magically appears in all it's creative gorgeousness.  Pretty neat trick, huh?
See how the ink does not creep into the debossed impression - so the words stay white and show up "like magic" when you stamp over them!
So here is today's quick little card that is bright and cheery and sure to pick up the spirits of the person who receives it.

After stamping the solid images from the Balloon Celebration set  over the word in bright and happy colours, I used my Basic Black marker to get just the word "You" (from the Thank You of the Happy Happenings set) in the bottom right corner of the card.

A card base of Daffodil Delight is just right to keep this bright, don't you think?  And the colours are neutral enough to make this a birthday card suitable to give to your male or female friends!
Love my Wink of Stella to add glitz and shimmer!

I added some visual interest with a few extra balloons punched out (using the Balloon Bouquet Punch) and popped up on dimensionals, with Baker's twine to 'ground' them to the card.  Some clear Wink of Stella on the raised balloons to draw your attention (I do love my Wink of Stella, don't I?) and this card is done.

If you purchase the Balloon Celebrations stamp set and the Balloon Bouquet Punch, as well as the Celebrations Duo embossing folders, you'll automatically qualify for a FREE Sale-A-Bration item. And trust me, you WANT to earn all of the SAB items that are available!  You earn one SAB item for every $60-worth of product you purchase.  See them all by clicking HERE.
Place your orders online by visiting HERE (at check out, please use the hostess code 3M2AGU7N) or contact me to place your order for you.

And if you want a LOT of stuff ($100 or more), you can save a TON of money - up to $200 - by making your purchase into a fully customizeable Starter Kit purchase.  See the details HERE or contact me to ask how we can save you lots of money while getting you everything you want.

I hope you are looking forward to a wonderful week ahead.  Thanks for stopping by.  God Bless,      Cynthia   <><
